These are a few inspirational images that I've found to help describe the look and feel that I'm going for while designing Bayou Bend Hotel and Spa.

I want to keep the architecture of the house, which is 18th century Georgian, with influences from Spanish Creole architecture. The original home owner coined the term "Latin Colonial" to describe this mix of styles.

I am going to try to keep most of the mouldings, fireplace mantels, door frames, window casings, and wood floors.

These are some of the logo options that I've been working on for Bayou Bend Hotel and Spa. I want the logo to show that it's traditional, but is also fun and has modern aspects. The image is of a house surrounded by greenery, which describes the Bayou Bend property very well. The image is very traditional, so i wanted to use a more modern font for the text. I also tried adding a bright color to make it more fun... I don't know... any suggestions?

The Bayou Bend property is located at 4031 Westcott st. at Memorial, Houston. This is a great location, 4 miles from the Galleria. This location is convienient for shopping, dining, schools, sporting events, and concerts. Although it is in the heart of the city, it is tucked into a wooded area, and is a very quiet place.Blue- Memorial Drive

Senior Project

For my Senior Capstone Project I will be transforming a property in Houston, called Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, into an eclectic luxury hotel, spa, and restaurant. Here are a few pictures of the property.
This property sits on 14 acres and includes:
-a main house which will be used for the check-in, guest rooms, a sitting room, a ballroom/ banquet hall, and an employee area.
-a smaller cottage which will house the restaurant
-8 manicured gardens which will serve as outdoor living and entertainment spaces
-I will be adding another building to the property. It will be used as a day spa and poolside snack bar.
